What are you majoring in?
Media Analytics and Strategic Communications

What made you choose to major in analytics?
It was an emerging interest/area of work and profession within the Communications industry, which was very attractive to me. The major allows me to bridge strategic mindset with market research, trends and insights. I love thinking in terms of campaigns. This requires creativity, strategy, and research— and media analytics pairs perfectly!

​Did you have any experience or interest in analytics before coming to Elon?
No.

Have you had an internship related to analytics? If so, who was it with and what did you do?
Yes, my most recent summer 2020 internship with Merck as a U.S. Commercial Operations Intern. My overarching summer project was to craft a plan or framework for the ideal consumer experience across all of the digital consumer websites. I conducted internal Merck stakeholder interviews, on brand and above brand market research, and completed a large-scale competitive analysis. From my research findings and outside-pharmaceuticals perspective, I was able to make recommendations for design, research and analytical initiatives to focus on in the future. 

What is your dream job after graduation?
Working for a full service agency or corporate company with civic responsibility initiatives, and (eventually) go to law school to study advertising law. ​
