By: Jack Rardon How you can use Instagram analytics to boost your account. Instagram has grown increasingly popular as a marketing tool for brands and individual influencers. With the app having over one billion users, it can be hard to tell who exactly is viewing your post and stories. Every creator wants to have their account stand out in comparison to other users. Especially in an age where seemingly anyone can make money off of their own created content and posts, people want to build their brand online. There is a feature that can help reach these goals that many users have not learned to utilize to their advantage yet. Now we can take a dive into Instagram’s “insights” feature that allows users to maximize their reach in an easy and free way. Every creator on Instagram has access to the insights feature. The only caveat is that the user must turn their private account into a business account but with the goal in mind of creating content for a targeted audience and reaching a large number of people, that should not be much of a problem. This is done in the settings of your Instagram account. Once this setting is enabled, you will have access to all features through a new “insights” tab that will appear on your profile. The statistics that appear are very in depth and give the user a great understanding of what type of audience they are reaching. This tool can be maximized by larger brands that want to work with advertisers to sponsor their content while also being useful for smaller influencers who want to just better their content for those who are viewing it. These data sets will give numbers on where the audience is from, the age range of the audience, the gender, and the activity of the audience. One of the most intriguing features in Instagram’s insight is that it allows the user to see what times exactly and on what days of the week is their audience most active. This is a tremendous tool that can be utilized by big and small accounts to get the most out of their Instagram experience.
